Art in the Village turns 13 with a special event on Saturday

JACKSON, Tenn. – Art in the Village is celebrating its 13th anniversary and there will be artists inside and outside the gallery.

“We will have the gallery open as usual. In fact, all sales outside of the gallery itself – well, anything over $100 – will get a 25% discount,” said gallery member Pat Patrick. “Now outside we will have, I think, about 10 artists showing their wares and it will be independent sales.”

Art forms are wide ranging and include many cool and unique items that could transform any space, or even in the form of jewelry to enhance a look.

“Typical watercolor, acrylic, oil paintings, there are abstracts,” Patrick said. “I happen to do watercolor flowers, a lot of landscapes. We also have a couple of potters.

The gallery provides education to the community by enrolling in classes they offer inside the gallery.

Artists from the community are also encouraged to drop by.

“And if there are artists who are interested in joining, come see what we have,” Patrick said.

Art in the Village is inside the Casey Jones Village, with the event taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Click here for more information.
